Artist in Residence Application
Artist residencies are offered by the Corning Center for the Fine Arts on a first come first serve basis. The gallery has two residency positions (one of which is currently filled). Residencies can be a 3, 6, 9 or 12 month stay. Artists are also responsible for making suitable art for display and part time management of the gallery space. In exchange artists receive a fully furnished apartment along with a studio area in the main art center and opportunities to display and sell their work in the gallery at Corning Fine Arts. The artist is responsible for a nominal amount of rent and utilities ($100 per month rent, and $99 utilities).
Additionally artists who choose to relocate permamently to Adams County Iowa during or after their residency are eligible for relocation benefits from Corning Fine Arts.

Supplies provided by artists, pottery studio is fully equiped
Housing
$100 per month rent plus $99 utilities. Two resident apartments are available above art center. Each apartment has fantastic natural light, hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings. They both contain a fully equiped kitchen, bathroom, living room, dining area and bedroom totalling over 800 sq. ft. of space. The front apartment faces Davis Street with a beautiful parapet window in the living room, the back apartment has an extra room and rooftop deck toward the alley behind the art center.
Studio Space
Free studio space in art gallery, many residents have also set up studio spaces in the resident apartments in addition to their studio space in the art center
Gallery Responsibilities for Artist in Residence
Artist's respnsibility: To produce a mutually agreed upon amount of saleable artwork to be sold in gallery. Artist are also asked to schedule retail staffing in gallery.
